Meet Your Therapist!
Hi, I’m Rachel, a licensed clinical professional counselor and the founder of Candescent Counseling.
I work primarily with teen girls and women navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem struggles, and life transitions. Many of the clients I see come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward.
My style is supportive and collaborative with a mix of gentle encouragement and straightforward feedback. I believe therapy should feel like a balance of being deeply understood while also being challenged to grow.
If you’re looking for a space where you can show up as yourself, be heard, and start creating meaningful change, I’d love the opportunity to work together.

and Iris, the Therapy Dog!
Iris is my sweet cockapoo who used to join me for in-person sessions and quickly became a comforting presence for many of my clients. While I now work virtually, she’s still usually curled up nearby during sessions, quietly bringing warmth and a sense of calm to the space.
Why “Candescent”?
The word candescent means glowing with warmth, light, and clarity. I chose this name for my practice because counseling is about just that, finding light even in difficult places, uncovering clarity when life feels confusing, and nurturing warmth for yourself and your relationships.
At Candescent Counseling, I believe that light isn’t something you have to search for outside yourself, it already exists within you. Therapy at Candescent Counseling is a space to uncover, nurture, and let that inner light shine.
